- Mount the rack into the 19-inch cabinet frame and secure all four rack units; provide rear access for bus and supply cabling.
- Install I/O modules into slots 1–16; each slot's earth bar must be bonded via the Faston connector.
- Connect the EA-bus flat cable (BV 7032) between the central rack and the F 7553 coupling module; total bus length must not exceed 30 m.
- Wire 24 V DC system supply to the EL+/L+ terminals and return to L-/GND potential distributors; use the prescribed wire cross-sections (min. 2 × 2.5 mm² for L- to the central bus bar).
- If using F 7133 power distribution modules, insert them into slots 18–21 and verify fuse monitoring contacts; jumper the fault contact of any empty distribution slot.
- After commissioning, check the fuse-monitor signal and the coupling-module watchdog (WD) line at XG.15 for a healthy bus state.
Is B9302 a digital input module?
No. According to the HIMA data sheet, B 9302 (9912) is an assembly kit consisting of the FK 1406 I/O rack, an F 7553 coupling module, and a BV 7032 flat cable. The digital input function is provided by separately ordered I/O modules (e.g., F 6217 series) installed in its slots.
